The entire day was captured by Devon wedding videographer Rich from Sundial Studios, whose cinematic storytelling brings every elegant detail and heartfelt moment to life.

The Vision

Led by Laura Seymour Violin, founder of The Styled Shoot Series, this shoot was designed to showcase the harmony between classical artistry and contemporary style. The concept blended soft, romantic tones with luxury textures and editorial-inspired design — a perfect reflection of the modern couple who dreams of a fairytale Somerset wedding.

The Venue

Few venues rival the charm of St Audries Park, with its grand staircase, shimmering chandeliers, and the stunning light-filled Orangery. From intimate ceremony moments to sweeping outdoor scenes, every corner of the estate provided cinematic inspiration.

Rich from Sundial Studios, a creative Devon and Somerset wedding videographer, captured the natural light, emotion, and movement of the day with his signature cinematic flair — showcasing exactly why St Audries Park remains a favourite among South West wedding filmmakers and photographers.

The Styling

The styling drew inspiration from English garden romance. A soft palette of blush, ivory, and sage green was paired with delicate gold accents, creating a sense of understated opulence.

Lottie from @lottiesvioletpetalflorals designed breathtaking arrangements of garden roses and seasonal blooms, while @legends_in_ink provided hand-illustrated stationery and signage, adding personal artistry to the décor.

The Bridal Look

The bridal gowns from Somerset Bridal offered flowing silhouettes and intricate lace detailing, perfectly complemented by Deane’s of Cheddar suits for a timelessly elegant look.

The beauty team — Nancy from @unveiledglam, Ellie @elliehoccomhairstylist, and Jane @eyedomakeup_janedare68 — created natural, glowing looks that highlighted each model’s features and reflected the shoot’s soft, romantic energy.

The Sounds of Romance

Music played a central role in this styled shoot, with live performances by Laura Seymour Violin, Emma Ram, Lucy Harvey Sax, and Jennifer Cleland Violin. Their artistry filled St Audries Park with soulful melodies that enhanced the emotional atmosphere beautifully — all expertly recorded and brought to life through Rich’s cinematic lens.

Sweet Details & Finishing Touches

A luxurious wedding cake by Hannah at The Gorge Bakehouse, afternoon tea treats by Lydia @lydiakraitmancakes, and vintage crockery from Lynsey @thelittlevintageteaspoon added charm and indulgence to the celebration.

Every element was carefully chosen to complement St Audries Park’s grandeur while maintaining a sense of intimacy and warmth — a perfect balance between heritage and modern romance.

Capturing the Magic

Photographers Isobel Buxton, Louise Adrianne, and Megan-Sian Photography each brought their artistic vision to the shoot, capturing editorial-style moments filled with light, love, and movement.

Meanwhile, Rich from Sundial Studios, an experienced Devon wedding videographer, filmed the day in cinematic detail — transforming fleeting moments into timeless storytelling.

Wedding Videography or Content Creation, How you can have the best of both worlds with Sundial Studios!

Planning your wedding involves countless decisions, and in the digital age, deciding how to capture your day in motion is a big one. You’ve likely heard the terms wedding videographer and wedding content creator, but what exactly sets them apart? While both deal with capturing video, their purpose, style, equipment, and delivery are worlds apart.

Understanding these differences is key to choosing the right service—or perhaps even a combination of both—to perfectly preserve your most important memories.

The Two Sides of the Coin: Cinematic Heirloom vs. Instant Share

1. The Wedding Videographer: Crafting Your Cinematic Legacy

A traditional wedding videographer is a filmmaker. Their primary goal is to create a polished, cinematic film that tells the complete story of your wedding day. This is your timeless heirloom, designed to be watched for decades to come.

2. The Wedding Content Creator: Capturing the Instant Buzz

A wedding content creator focuses on capturing the immediate, candid energy of your day for social media. They are the ‘behind-the-scenes’ ninja, gathering authentic clips perfect for instant sharing.

Why Choose Both? A Complementary Partnership

One service doesn’t replace the other; they are beautifully complementary. Your videographer focuses on the key, cinematic moments (the grand story), while your content creator captures the quick, candid, behind-the-scenes fun (the immediate buzz). With both, you get the best of both worlds: a timeless film for the future and instant content for today.

Your Solution for Instant, Quality Wedding Content

If the idea of instant, high-quality, and social-media-ready content appeals to you, Sundial Studios offers the perfect blend of speed and professionalism.

We recognise that couples want both their full day captured with professional audio and the instant gratification of modern social media. By choosing us as your wedding videographer Devon or wedding videographer Cornwall, you get the best of both worlds: a cinematic heirloom filmed with the highest quality equipment, and a dedicated service providing next-day vertical reels filmed and delivered with quality and speed. You’ll have your entire love story preserved with professional precision, along with immediate, shareable content for your friends and family.

Ready to secure both your cinematic legacy and your instant highlight reel? Get in touch with Sundial Studios today to discuss your date!

If you’re looking for a top Devon wedding videographer or Cornwall wedding videographer that excels at capturing the setting perfectly, we’ve got you covered.

Historic Elegance: Step Back in Time

For couples who adore history, grandeur, and a touch of sophistication, Devon and Cornwall are rich with historic wedding venues. Think magnificent castles, stately homes with manicured gardens, or charming manor houses steeped in character. These venues come with incredible architectural details and beautiful grounds, providing endless opportunities for stunning wedding videography. We ensure your Devon wedding video is filled with elegant shots of your ceremony in a grand hall and your first dance in a ballroom, capturing the setting perfectly and showcasing its timeless beauty.

Rustic Charm: Embrace the Countryside

If your heart is set on a more relaxed, bohemian, or country-inspired wedding, the rustic venues of Devon and Cornwall will capture your imagination. Converted barns with exposed beams, charming farmhouses nestled in picturesque valleys, or unique glamping sites are all on offer. Our approach to Cornwall wedding videography focuses on documenting the relaxed joy and natural beauty of your countryside celebration. Sundial Studios will work with the natural light and stunning environment to capture the setting perfectly for your rustic film.

Capturing the Sound and Soul of The Urban Party Project at Tavistock Wharf

At Sundial Studios, we thrive on capturing the essence of live performance, and our recent project with the incredible 9-piece function band, The Urban Party Project, was no exception. We were tasked with creating a comprehensive promotional video package that not only showcased their dynamic sound but also captured the infectious energy of their live show at the iconic Tavistock Wharf.

Our approach was meticulously planned to ensure we captured both high-quality audio and stunning visuals. For the audio, we connected a laptop running Logic Pro X directly into the venue’s sound desk. This allowed us to record a clean, multi-track audio feed of their performance, giving us complete control and flexibility during the mixing stage.

On the video front, we chose the Lumix S5II for its exceptional low-light performance and cinematic quality. The camera allowed us to capture the vibrant atmosphere of the venue and the band’s lively stage presence with incredible detail.

With the raw footage and audio in hand, we returned to our studio to begin the post-production process. The audio was mixed in-house, balancing each instrument and vocal to create a polished and powerful sound. We then meticulously edited the video footage, syncing it perfectly with the mixed audio. The final package included a full 5-minute showreel that highlights the band’s versatility and stage presence, five vertical reels perfect for social media, and a separate video featuring interviews with audience members, offering a personal look at the impact of the band’s performance.

We are incredibly proud of the final product and the opportunity to work with such a talented group of musicians. The collaboration with The Urban Party Project at Tavistock Wharf was a true testament to our dedication to delivering professional, high-quality content, all captured and produced in-house by Sundial Studios

Elevate Your Wedding Video with Stunning Drone Shots

Weddings are magical occasions, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Capturing these memories in the most breathtaking way possible is essential, and that’s where the artistry of drone shots comes in. As a passionate Devon wedding videographer, I’m here to share how incorporating drone footage can elevate your wedding video, especially in the stunning landscapes of Devon and Cornwall.

Why Choose Drone Shots for Your Wedding Video?

1. Breathtaking Aerial Views

One of the biggest advantages of using drone shots is the ability to capture sweeping aerial views that ground-based cameras simply can’t provide. Imagine your wedding venue set against the backdrop of Devon’s rugged coastline or Cornwall’s picturesque landscapes. A drone can capture these stunning vistas, adding a cinematic feel to your wedding video.

2. Unique Perspectives

Drones offer unique angles and perspectives, making your wedding video stand out. Whether it’s capturing the moment you walk down the aisle or your first kiss as a married couple, a drone can create dynamic shots that tell your love story in an engaging way. The result? A wedding video that feels fresh and exciting, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

3. Enhanced Storytelling

Incorporating drone footage allows for richer storytelling. A well-placed aerial shot can set the scene, showcasing the beauty of your venue and the atmosphere of the day. As your Cornwall wedding video unfolds, these shots can seamlessly transition between key moments, creating a narrative flow that captivates viewers.

Tips for Incorporating Drone Shots into Your Wedding Video

1. Choose the Right Location

When planning your wedding, consider venues with beautiful outdoor spaces. Both Devon and Cornwall offer breathtaking backdrops—from coastal cliffs to lush countryside—that can be beautifully highlighted with drone shots.

2. Work with an Experienced Videographer

It’s crucial to work with a wedding videographer who is experienced in drone filming. A skilled Devon wedding videographer will know how to capture the best angles and ensure that the drone footage complements the rest of your wedding video.

3. Plan Key Moments for Aerial Shots

Discuss with your videographer the key moments you want to capture with drone shots. Whether it’s the ceremony, the reception, or candid moments with family and friends, planning these ahead of time will help ensure that nothing is missed.

4. Consider Weather Conditions

Weather can impact drone operations, so it’s essential to have a backup plan. A professional videographer will monitor the forecast and make adjustments as needed to capture those stunning aerial shots without compromising your day.

Conclusion

Incorporating drone shots into your wedding video is a fantastic way to elevate the overall experience and create lasting memories. With the stunning landscapes of Devon and Cornwall as your backdrop, you can capture the essence of your special day in a way that truly reflects your love story. As a dedicated Cornwall wedding video specialist, I’m here to help you achieve that dream.
